Jake was transferred from the Geneva to the Sandusky area of the Ohio Cleveland Mission on February 3rd. It is in the Cleveland Zone, so he hasn’t moved too far away from the city. He says he is going to miss Kirkland, but he will be able to visit with investigators when they want to learn more about Joseph Smith and his story. One of his new Zone Leaders is Elder Crockett — his first companion (and trainer).
In Jake’s words: “I was transfered to Sandusky, OH. It’s where the movie
‘Tommy Boy’ was filmed. So just watch that movie if you want to know what Sandusky is like. I had a hard time leaving the Kirtland zone but I’ve adjusted and I already love Sandusky. There are a lot of houses really close to each other so it’s great for tracting. It’s like that in the whole city. My companion and I were “Shotgunned” in. That means we were both transfered in at the same time. We both don’t know anything about the area. It took us a couple of days to get used to it but we’re doing good now.”
The first picture is of Jake experiencing Winter in Ohio. In the second, he is a bit warmer and trying to show that he has been putting a little meat on his bones.
